Achieving true sustainability through science

No greenwashing here. Precisionrap DK doesn't just degrade—it bio-assimilates. This means the plastic breaks down to a molecular level, becoming food for microorganisms. The result? Complete biodegradation with no microplastics left behind.

  • True zero waste: After its 2-year functional lifespan, Precisionrap DK completely disappears within 6 months to 2 years.
  • Versatile degradation: Whether exposed to UV rays or buried in landfill, Precisionrap DK will bio-assimilate, leaving no trace behind.
  • Sustainable from start to finish: Produced using non-toxic materials, Precisionrap DK prioritises sustainability from the very start.

What is Bio-Assimilation?

Bio-assimilation is the process where plastic breaks down completely into tiny molecules that can be consumed by living organisms. The result? No microplastics or toxic residues are left behind

It’s the final stage of biodegradation, ensuring the material disappears safely and naturally. (unlike that majority of plastics that only partially degrade)

How does Bio-Assimilation work?

Precisionrap DK uses a special additive called Eclipse® in its technology. After the pallet wrap's 2-year shelf life, the Eclipse® additive is triggered, which starts a chemical reaction that begins to break down the film.

As the film degrades, it attracts naturally occurring microorganisms, which consume the plastic as a food source. This process continues until the entire film is digested, leaving behind only carbon dioxide, water, and harmless biomass.

Problem

Plastic waste is out of control

Every year, businesses rely on massive amounts of plastic stretch wrap to secure pallet loads. With over 400 million tons of plastic produced globally, most of it ends up as landfill or environmental waste. Only a small fraction is ever recycled.

Solution

Precisionrap DK: Truly sustainable pallet wrap

This innovative stretch film performs just like conventional wrap, but fully breaks down into harmless natural elements after use. It’s a practical, scalable solution that helps businesses reduce plastic waste without compromising on performance or efficiency.

Result

No microplastics. No toxins. No Trace.

With Precisionrap DK, plastic wrap doesn’t persist in landfills or the environment for generations. Even if the wrap isn’t recycled, it provides an environmental safety net, ensuring your packaging never becomes a long-term pollutant to our planet.

The Precisionrap DK system

An ergonomic dispenser & high performance film provides the ultimate hand wrapping combination.

Precisionrap system

Ergonomic dispenser

Allow the system to work for you with automatic film tensioning. The Precisionrap DK Dispenser offers a safe and consistent wrap with optimal film usage every time.

  • Reduce film consumption - on average, customers see their total film consumption by weight drop a minimum of 35%.
  • Improve load containment - Precisionrap DK is proven to provide an average of 50% more containment force than traditional hand wrapping techniques.
  • Speed up pallet wrapping times - typical loads see a 33% increase in pallet wrapping speeds, without compromising on quality.

High performance film

Engineered to maximise containment and yield, the Precisionrap DK Film is second to none.

Pre-stretched film at 250%, with an extra 35% stretch applied via the Precisionrap DK dispenser. Total film stretch reaches 285% with hand application!

Use less film and get more pallets wrapped with Precisionrap DK.

Precisionwrap DK in action

Where other "sustainable" solutions fall short

Many so-called sustainable packaging solutions fall short of their eco-friendly promises. From microplastic pollution to recycling challenges, it's crucial businesses understand the true sustainability of their packaging.

Often overlooked, breakdown conditions are a key factor in how sustainable a product really is. Without meeting precise conditions related to temperature, humidity and UV exposure at end of life, many 'biodegradable' and 'compostable' materials may not ever achieve their sustainability claims.

Precisionrap DK FAQs

  • Bio-assimilation is the process in which a material breaks down at a molecular level, becoming food for microorganisms. In the case of Precisionrap DK, it ensures complete biodegradation without leaving behind microplastics or other harmful residues. This is a step beyond traditional biodegradation, as it guarantees that the material is fully integrated back into the natural environment.

  • Microplastics are tiny plastic particles less than 5mm in size, left behind by various plastic products. They persist in the environment for long periods, can be ingested by wildlife, and enter the food chain, potentially causing health issues for animals and humans. Unlike many conventional plastics and even some "biodegradable" options, Precisionrap DK does not contribute to microplastic pollution.

  • This refers to the ability of a material in how far it extends beyond its original length. Precisionrap DK boasts a 285% stretch capacity, allowing for efficient wrapping and optimal film usage. This high stretch capacity means less material is needed to secure pallets effectively, reducing overall plastic consumption.

  • Zero waste is a set of principles focused on waste prevention that encourages the redesign of resource life cycles so that all products are reused. Precisionrap DK achieves this by completely disappearing within 6 months to 2 years after its functional lifespan, leaving no waste behind.

  • Greenwashing is the practice of making misleading or false claims about the environmental benefits of a product, service, or company policy. Unlike many products, Precisionrap DK backs its sustainability claims with verifiable bio-assimilation technology and transparent information about its lifecycle.

  • Yes. Precisionrap DK is formulated with advanced stabilisers that ensure it maintains its strength and integrity throughout its intended shelf life, including up to two years on the rack. When disposed of in landfill, the film safely breaks down without leaving harmful microplastics, as confirmed by independent carbon labelling (C13) testing.

  • No. The Eclipse® additive is designed to be fully compatible with LDPE recycling processes. Independent tests show that during recycling, the additive is effectively neutralised by the high heat, preventing contamination or degradation of recycled materials. This means your recycled bales remain clean and acceptable to recyclers.

  • Forward-walk wrapping allows operators to see where they are going, reducing the risk of trips and falls compared to backward wrapping. While it may not eliminate all ergonomic risks, this method promotes safer movement around pallets, helping to reduce back strain and improve overall workplace safety.

  • Precisionrap DK offers the flexibility of consistent, high-quality pallet wrapping by any operator, regardless of size or experience. Unlike a single automatic wrapper, which can become a bottleneck in large facilities, Precisionrap DK enables multiple operators to wrap pallets efficiently throughout your site, improving productivity without the large upfront investment.
